Thermacut T-11423 retaining cap replaces Hypertherm 220854

This part replaces Hypertherm 220854-UR. It's Thermacut T-11423, and it suits Hypertherm Duramax hand and machine torches on Powermax 65, 85 and 105, at 45, 65 or 85A. Sold each.

Parts that go with it

The same cap is used for shielded and unshielded cutting, gouging and FineCut up to 85A. The shield or deflector and the nozzle must be used together as a set, and so must the electrode and swirl ring.

Does T-11423 replace Hypertherm 220854?

Yes. T-11423 is the Thermacut replacement for Hypertherm 220854-UR, rated for 45, 65 and 85A on Duramax torches.

Which retaining cap do I need?

It depends on your amperage and whether your table uses ohmic sensing. Up to 85A, use this cap, or 220953 Ohmic Retaining Cap 45/65/85A T-11931 for ohmic sensing. At 105A, use Retaining Cap 105A T-11422, or Ohmic Retaining Cap 105A T-11932 for ohmic sensing. If a wire from your table's height control clips onto the cap, you need an ohmic cap.

Which Powermax machines does this retaining cap fit?

It fits the Powermax 65, 85 and 105 with a Duramax hand or machine torch, up to 85A. It doesn't suit Powermax SYNC systems (they use one-piece cartridges), the original Powermax45 or the Powermax30.

Can I use T-11423 on a Powermax 105 at 105A?

No. T-11423 is rated up to 85A. At 105A a Powermax 105 needs the 105A cap, Retaining Cap 105A T-11422, used as a set with a 105A shield and nozzle. If your Powermax 105 runs at 85A or below, T-11423 is the right cap.
