This part replaces Hypertherm 220948. It's Thermacut T-12014, the ohmic FineCut shield for 45A, and it suits Hypertherm Duramax torches on Powermax 65, 85 and 105 cutting tables with ohmic sensing. Sold each.

Does T-12014 replace Hypertherm 220948?

Yes. T-12014 is the Thermacut replacement for Hypertherm 220948, the ohmic FineCut shield for 45A.

Which shield do I need?

It depends on your torch, amperage and job. For cutting at 45, 65 and 85A, use 220818 Shield for Hand Torch 45/65/85A T-11406 on a hand torch or 220817 Shield for Machine Torch 45/65/85A T-11404 on a machine torch. At 105A, use 220992 Shield for Hand Torch 105A T-11841 on a hand torch or 220993 Shield for Machine Torch 105A T-11842 on a machine torch. For gouging, use 220798 Gouging Shield 65/85/105A T-12022, and for FineCut on an ohmic table, this shield.

Which Powermax machines does this shield fit?

It fits the Powermax 65, 85 and 105 on cutting tables with ohmic sensing. It doesn't suit Powermax SYNC systems (they use one-piece cartridges), the original Powermax45 or the Powermax30.

Can I use T-12014 with the standard retaining cap?

No. With T-12014, FineCut uses the ohmic cap, 220953 Ohmic Retaining Cap 45/65/85A T-11931. For FineCut without ohmic sensing, use the 220931 FineCut Deflector T-12013 or 220955 Deflector T-11407 with 220854 Retaining Cap 45/65/85A T-11423.
