Thermacut T-11932 ohmic retaining cap 105A for Hypertherm Duramax machine torches

Thermacut T-11932 is the ohmic version of the 105A retaining cap for Duramax torches on Powermax 105 systems. It holds the front-end consumables in place, and its wire terminal lets a cutting table sense the plate surface.

What "ohmic" means

Some CNC tables use the torch to find the top of the plate electrically, then set the pierce and cut heights from that reading. Those tables need a retaining cap with a terminal for the sensing wire. That is an ohmic cap. If your table doesn't use ohmic sensing, you don't need one.

Choose the right retaining cap

Thermacut's chart shows a different retaining cap for 105A, so don't swap in an 85A cap.

Fitting a new set? Pair it with electrode T-11883 – Electrode 45–105A (Pk:5).

T-11932 retaining cap: common questions

An ohmic retaining cap has a wire terminal so the cutting table can sense the plate electrically. The CNC height control uses that signal to find the plate surface, then sets pierce and cut heights from it.
Only if your cutting table uses ohmic plate sensing. For a hand torch or a machine without ohmic sensing, the standard 105A cap, T-11422, is the one to use.
No. Thermacut's chart shows a different retaining cap for 105A. T-11931 is the ohmic cap up to 85A, and T-11932 is the 105A ohmic version.
Thermacut's catalogue doesn't list a Hypertherm number for this cap, so we don't show one. Check the ohmic cap fitted to your torch against the T-11932 description before ordering.
Yes. It's made by Thermacut for Hypertherm Duramax torches and sold here each.
