Solvent-Based Clear Concrete Sealer 20L Omega O-ICC20L

DESCRIPTION:

Omega concrete sealer provides a long-lasting, durable gloss protective coating for all types of interior and exterior concrete surfaces. Omega concrete sealer has been specially formulated to withstand the harsh Australian climate and provides a barrier to withstand pedestrian and light vehicle traffic. Omega concrete sealer is a solvent-based sealer designed to protect and form an attractive, protective, and impervious coating on the substrate to protect against the spillage of common fluids.

TYPICAL PROPERTIES:

COVERAGE:

Theoretical coverage 6-10 m2/L. Practical coverage may depend on surface profile and method of application.

PREPARATION:

Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from contaminants such as grease, oil, dirt, moss, or loose material. New concrete must cure for 4-5 weeks, and new grouting should dry for at least 2 weeks. For smooth troweled concrete and old concrete, acid etch and rinse thoroughly using a high-pressure cleaning to ensure a clean, porous surface.

APPLICATION:

Stir the Omega concrete sealer thoroughly before and during use. For very porous concrete, an initial cost thinned by 10% may be required to ensure proper penetration. Apply two unthinned coats using a quality brush or roller. Allows 2 hours drying between coats at 25°C and 60% relative humidity. Avoid application in high humidity, pending rain, or temperatures below 10°C or above 35°C. For high-traffic areas like driveaways or garage floors, allow 24 hours before use to ensure full adhesion and durability. Do not apply in high humidity or when the temperature is below 10°C or above 30°C.

THINNING:

Up to 10% omega Xylene thinners may be added to the first coat for porous surfaces.

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT:

After each use, promptly clean all equipment with Omega Xylene. Ensure that tools and equipment are thoroughly washed before the product has a chance to cure.

STORAGE:

Store in a cool, dry, shaded area. Shelf life at 25 °C - 12 months minimum when stored as prescribed in the MSDS.

MIX AND COLOUR CHECK:

Mix the paint thoroughly before application using a wide flat paddle (25mm) or a hand mixer with a perforated base. Mix in a circular lifting motion from the bottom of the container for 5 minutes or until the paint and colour are fully blended. Stir the paint every 2 hours to maintain consistency.  Check the colour against the colour chart or standard before applying. For multiple containers, mix them to ensure colour uniformity.  During painting, replace and secure the container lid to prevent the paint from drying out.
