Size D Oxygen Includes Cylinder and Gas

Oxygen is a colourless, odourless, non-flammable and non-toxic gas which is a highly reactive non-metallic element and oxidizing agent that readily forms compounds with most elements.

Oxygen is used for metal cutting, welding and heating where it is mixed with other gases to produce a very hot flame. Oxygen, instead of air, is used to increase the flame temperature to allow localized melting of the workpiece material (e.g. steel) in a room environment.

A common propane/air flame burns at about 2,000 Â°C, a propane/oxygen flame burns at about 2,800 Â°C, and an acetylene/oxygen flame burns at about 3,500 Â°C.
