DESCRIPTION:

BT weld ER80S-D2 is a copper-coated manganese molybdenum low alloy steel wire suitable for all positional gas metal arc welding (GMAW) of medium to high strength steels. It provides excellent resistance to porosity when welding dirty or rusty plates due to its higher deoxidant levels.

FEATURES:

• AWS A5.28 ER80S-D2 classification.
• 550MPa tensile class weld deposits.
• Suitable for use with short-arc, spray and pulsed arc transfer modes.
• Positions all positional and out of positional.
• Ideal for the fabrication of pressure vessels, boilers, and pipelines where service temperatures up to ≈ 500°C.
