Silver Solder Composition and Melting Temperature

Silver solder (also called silver brazing alloy) is a type of filler metal used to join metals at high temperatures—typically between 600°C and 800°C—but below the melting point of the base metals.
The exact melting temperature depends on the percentage of silver and other alloying elements (like copper, zinc, cadmium, or tin).

Here’s a general guide:

Higher silver content = lower melting temperature and better flow, but also higher cost.
