Welding Training,Troubleshooting and Demonstration

National Welding Supplies can provide training depending on your application, whether that be for hobby metal work, welder repairs and fabrication or vehicle restoration. Our technicians and sales representatives are proficient at setting up welders with the required settings for any workpiece and job. We can help you on site, over the phone and at our workshop.

For purchases of new welders, we provide free welder training and troubleshooting on request. Our training is tailored for the customer covering simple questions like how to weld or complicated situations that occur in manufacturing processes.

The use of welding machines depends on the type of job and pieces of metal. MIG and TIG welding is commonly used for mild steel, stainless steel, alloy steels, aluminium and nickel alloys. The filler material used is the same as the workpiece and its size depends on the workpiece being used and the capabilities of the machine. For new welders, we can help advise what machine will suit their current purpose and future endeavours.

An important part of owning a welder is maintenance. This increases the lifespan of the welder and reduces the need for repairs. Our technicians can provide tips that are often used in regular maintenance and include: visual verification, welder cleaning, cable management, feed roller installation, MIG gun and TIG torch maintenance, workshop assessment, safety testing and preventive maintenance
